How to Design a Pooh and Friends Bedroom

It is hard to imagine a set of characters more loved by children than Winnie the Pooh and friends. Winnie the Pooh has been loved down the years since the first book was published, on to the period when the Pooh character entered into the merchandising market in 1930. Winnie the Pooh has not looked back since then and has gone on to become one of the most popular and revered characters of all time. Kids simply love Winnie the Pooh and his friends; Eeyore, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo, Christopher Robbin and Owl. One of the things that any child would love is to have a Pooh and friends room. Designing a Winnie the Pooh room is quite interesting and rewarding if it is done right.

I assume that you are familiar with Winnie the Pooh, as most people are. If not, it will not hurt to get familiar with it by buying Winnie the Pooh films and books. They actually abound online and in stores. Winnie the Pooh and friends are goldfishes that find it very hard to hide!

Now that you are familiar with Winnie and friends, let us start with the walls of the room that you wish to decorate. One way to do this is to first cover the lower parts of the walls in the room with vertical lined wallpaper. The upper parts can then be covered with a Winnie the Pooh and Friends wallpaper. Choose very expressive wallpaper especially one that displays the friends quite prominently. You can also cover the point at which the wallpaper covering the lower parts as well as that covering the upper parts meet with Pooh self adhesive wall border. This should give the Pooh kid room a classic Pooh room décor.

The bed comes next. You can make that bed more appealing to sleep in (particularly at the much contested bedtime) by laying it with a Winnie and Friends duvet complete with pillow coverings. There are specially made Winnie the Pooh and Friends furniture for a Winnie the Pooh theme room but those might just inflate your budget. If however, it falls within your budget especially for a Winnie the Pooh infants room, choose nice furniture.

Of course, the room is not quite Winnie the Pooh and friends ‘compliant’ until you have very expressive accessories in it including Winnie the Pooh bath room decor. The door is one place that can provide space for decorations and Winnie the Pooh room collection. A Winnie the Pooh Growth Chart will look great at the back of the door. If this will not provide an incentive for your kid to want to grow real fast, what else will? You can also get a Winnie the Pooh lamp to place on the nightstand. Somewhere around the bed, you can have a small rack made where figurines of Winnie the Pooh and Friends can be placed. Additionally, posters of Winnie the Pooh and friends can also adorn the walls.
